With effect from 7th January 2013
There are no bank charges for routine operation of personal accounts whilst in credit. However, some items do attract a charge at the time, or on the next business day, for all our customers as follows;
CHAPS (electronic same day payment) : £15.00 per Item
Single Immediate Payment (electronic same day payment up to £250k) : £5.00 per Item
Stopped cheque : £7.50 per cheque
Unpaid Cheques : £10.00 per cheque
Unpaid Direct Debits : £10.00 per item
Unpaid Standing Orders : £10.00 per item
Unauthorised Overdraft Letter : £10.00 per Letter
Copy Statements : £2.50 per statement
Foreign Exchange & Services

Interest is charged on any amount that you borrow and is calculated quarterly at the end of March, June, September and December. The overdraft interest will be applied on the 19th of the month following the quarter end, or the next working day.
Quarterly interest charges below £1.00 are waived.
Overdraft (authorised) - 5% above Reliance Bank base rate, currently 0.50% - 5.50%
Overdraft (unauthorised) - 12% above Reliance Bank base rate, currently 0.50% - 12.50%

You have different choices when it comes to sending money from your accounts, dependant on the frequency, cost and the amount you are sending. Many people use direct debits as a regular payment facility to pay monthly expenses, such as utility bills, and the amounts taken are controlled by the company to whom they are paying. Standing orders however, are controlled by the customer and these are used for the purpose of transferring money between accounts on a regular basis for the amount they specify.
For other payments you have different options and these are specific to the amount you are sending and the level of urgency.
