Chief Risk Officer
Simon joined the bank in August 2025. As Chief Risk Officer, Simon leads a team who are entrusted to ensure the Bank follows sound practices and complies with our regulatory and governance requirements. Reliance Bank also operates within strict ethical boundaries, so Simon and his team ensure that the activities of the Bank are managed, monitored and reported appropriately. Simon is a member of the Executive Committee, Risk & Controls Committee and Assets & Liabilities Committee.
Simon has a strong track record in Risk Management roles in the UK financial services sector. Simon has a keen understanding of regulatory governance with skills in Credit Risk, Financial Risk and Risk Management and experience of ICAAP, ILAAP, IFRS9 P&L impact and balance sheet management.

Past Experience
Simon has enjoyed a career in banking and asset finance spanning over 25 years. Simon held positions at Ashman Bank, Al-Rayan Bank (Head of Credit Risk), Paragon Bank (Credit Risk Manager), CAF Bank (Head of Lending), Barclays (Head of High Value Lending) and GE Home Lending (Regional Risk Manager).
Simon studied at the University of Derby where he completed a B.A. Hons in Business Management and Marketing.
