
Mike Anderson
Non Executive Director
Mike Anderson joined Reliance Bank’s Board of Directors in 2025. Mike is an experienced Non-Executive Director and Board Committee Chair focussing mainly on the not-for-profit and social support sectors. Mike is Chair of the Board Audit Committee for the bank and brings both executive and non-executive membership experience of Finance, Treasury, Audit and Risk Management, extensive experience of financial services as well as familiarity with Charity Commission and Regulator of Social Housing requirements. Mike has successfully partnered with organisations to derive strategy, achieve business growth and performance improvements.

Past experience:
Mike has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 38 years with international experience in New York, Amsterdam, Luxembourg and London, mostly with the HSBC Group where Mike formerly held positions such as Global Chief Financial Officer across a number of global business divisions, Group Head of Asset & Liability Management and Secretary to the Group Risk Committee.
Mike’s other Non-Executive roles include:
- Plan International UK – a global children and humanitarian crisis support charity
- Fair4All Finance Limited – set up by the government to increase the financial resilience of people in vulnerable circumstances
- The Papworth Trust – a disability charity and registered housing provider with royal patronage operating across East Anglia.
